Extra Characters beyond the end of this formula.

I tried replacing single quotes with double quotes but still the error persists. Below is the formula.

$('#saveAndAnotherMenuOption').hide();

Are you trying to throw this in a formula field?  It looks like you're trying to jquery, so I assume you're using dandiebolts javascript everywhere method, in which case I'd suggest you look at this link: http://pastie.org/1512802#55,57,63,64,65,85

At the bottom you will see a page sniffer of sorts.  You can slap the jquery under the edit record page and it will work just fine.  You'll need to put the page sniffer at the bottom of your imageonload page.  

Of course if you're not talking about imageonload, I have no idea how to solve your problem.  :P
