Formulas not working on existing records, only new

I have created a new table in an application which converts currencies. I then related to a table of existing records. I had to manually tell it what the related currency conversions should be as usual, but not for existing records I'm getting basic formulas not working (showing blank results) when before these same formulas worked just fine. But for a new record, everything is working as it should.

My first thought was to simply export the data and import it back in as new records (as that does "solve" the problem) although I remembered some of the existing records have attachments, which I cannot transfer over to a new record, so I'd rather not go down this path.

Any ideas on what is causing my formulas to not work in existing records, but work in new ones?

Please disregard, I found the error in my formulas. I had created a new one which had been dividing by a blank causing a null in existing records... which went up the food chain and caused all formula fields related to it to be null as well. The default values were not present in existing records, so I simply did an upload for these records to get the formula to calculate zero. All is well.
