Google Drive Sync connection issues, anyone else?

I am experiencing high failure rates of Sync failing for my Google Drive connection. I've been told by support that is a known issue/bug, but I'm finding this unacceptable. I just had to hit the manual sync button about four times to get one table to update. Just before that I did the 'reauthorize step' (after the page took forever to load), then did 'test connection' right after and it timed out.

I have nine tables using the Drive connection, I found out that you can only change table sync to different Drive accounts, you cannot switch to Dropbox or Box.

Any ideas, solutions, or acknowledgement that I'm not the only one. Maybe if they are overloading Google's API, I should run my sync schedule overnight? Sigh.

I was able to resolve the problem by linking to a new Google Drive account (one that is shared with the original account). I suspect that if there was a way to 'log out' of my Google account and sign-in again, it would have fixed things without using another account. But all you can do is 'reauthorize'.

My Dropbox connections have always been solid and most of the posts on the forum about cloud Sync problems seem to involve Google Drive.
