Hi,

I am wondering if there is a way for quickbase to return name of a location based on a address search. I would like to integrate our map from http://empowerla.org/city-map/ to quickbase. A perfect scenario would be: A user types their address on QB,  QB maps the address and based on where the pin falls, QB returns the name of the Neighborhood Council in a text field.

Please let me know if there is a way of doing this.

Hi Sevak,

QuickBase's built-in features do not currently support custom Google Maps places. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. However, it may be possible for you to construct a custom URL or web script to retrieve the name of a location on your custom map, using an address search. Google's Maps API developers site may be helpful for this:

We also have some great third-party partners who have worked on Google Maps integration for QuickBase. You can contact them on their pages below:

Thanks,

Brian

Hi Sevak,
We at CloudBase Services have also built custom, interactive maps using the Google Maps API as well as supporting native QB functionality. Please let me know if there are any additional questions we can answer for you.
