I have a multiple choice (2 options) field that I would like to update several other multiple choice fields.  I would like the "child" fields that get populated to still be editable after the initial choice selection.

For example

I have field [Event Type] where the choices are Catered or Self-Catered.

I have the fields [Cups], [Plates], [Decorations] where the choices are Yes, No or Self.

I would lIke when [Event Type] = Catered for Cups, Plates and Decorations = Yes, but still have the Cups, Plates and Decorations Fields be editable.

When [Event Type] = Self-Catered, only Cups, Plates = No and Decorations = Yes, but again I would still like to be able to edit Cups, Plates, Decorations.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

A few thoughts initially came to mind upon reading your question. One of these might help solve what you're doing:

http://www.quickbase.com/user-assistance/Default.html#shared_mult_choice_fields.html

https://www.quickbase.com/user-assistance/default.html#conditional_dropdowns.html

http://www.quickbase.com/user-assistance/Default.html#form_rules.html

If these don't however, it's best if one of our Care agents takes a look at your application with you. If you'd like to do that, please click Help -> Manage Support Cases while logged in to QuickBase, and you can create a new case there.

I think form rules did this for me.  Thanks!
