First, thank you for the time taken to help.

So, I have connected my QB database "Alpha" to my Salesforce.com account. It brings information like:  Opportunity ID#, Opportunity Name into one of my Alpha's Table. Before this, I was downloading information from Salesforce.com as an excel file, then, upload it into another of my QB database "Omega".

Now that I'm connected, live, between "Alpha" and Salesforce, I'd like to verify from "Alpha" if an Opportunity IDX exist in another database "Omega", and if it exist, bring some fields data from "Omega" of the same Opportunity IDX and populate the same Opportunity IDX in "Alpha".

The rule is to not touch "Omega" database by adding a direct connection to Salesforce. "Omega" needs to be a standalone with no direct connection to any other app. Everything needs to be done through "Alpha".

All suggestions are welcome!

If the Key field of Omega is the Opportunity ID# (or if not, it can be changed to be the Key field), then all you need to do is to create a Relationship where 1 Omega has many Alphas and bring down your fields from Omega as lookups down into Alpha.

Thank you Mark!  Unfortunately I'm not admin of Omega so I can't create that type of relationship. However, I can download! So, I created another table in Alpha, upload Omega's info and voila, it worked exactly if I did a relationship with Omega. Downside, I will always need to download/upload Omega's info. But, I can live with that. Thanks!
