Highlighting a record in a table.  I want to highlight a record when a status is not equal to complete and the the due date is today or past.

Do you want this on a report or a form?

Yeah I get where to do it. I need to know how to build the formula.

Now, I am receiving this message, "The expression [Process Due Date] on the left hand side of the operator "<>" is of type date while the expression "Green" on the right hand side is of type text. The operator "<>" cannot be used with these types of expressions."

Could you paste your formula? Sounds like a syntax issue, Green should be after the condition, separated by a comma. Like [Process Due Date] < Today(), "Green"

I fixed it; but this is the formula: If ([REC Status] <> "Green" and [Process Due Date] < Today(), "orange", "")

Thanks for all your help

Technically the formula is acceptable but I don't want the Green projects highlighted at all are they are
