I would like to add a button on an application home page that would start an email addressed to the application owner/administrator. The app users wouldn't need to know who it is, it would be auto addressed. This is so that they can request information or assistance. Is this possible? If so, how?

If no one chimes in with a way to do this, I suggest that you simply set up a table in the App for Development Requests.  The advantage of that is that back and forth between the users and the developer can by captured in a text field which logs the updates and you can have a status on each request to know which are open and which are closed.  Then just set up Notifications when records are added or changed.

Awesome. That actually works better. If I create a table for help requests, add a form for them to fill in, they hit save and it comes to me. That gives me the option of leaving it there with responses, creating an FAQ of sorts or deleting it and just responding via email depending on the situation. I like it. And I know how to make the button for that. -- Thank you very much --

Ok great, btw, there is in fact a way to make a button which will auto populate an email and populate the TO, CC, and the Subject, and the body if you like, but the table setup is really better in this case anyways.
