How can I create a group from selected Users

I would like to create a group with 3 users from my user list so that I can grant access to these 3 users as a group to view and modify the records assigned to the group. I already know that I can restrict the access to view and edit to selected users, I was wondering if there anyway I can do the same to assign records to the group.

Hello Danni,

So groups are mainly used for setting up permissions for select number of users on the app altogether. Groups are not able to be selected as part of a User field to assist to a record. You can only use a User -List to select the individual users that are assigned to the record to allow view or modify permissions to that specific record.


This can be a User voice enhancement request.


You can access User Voice from your "My Apps" page, and then clicking the orange feedback button from the left hand side of the screen.  You can also access User Voice by clicking the following link:
