How can I create cross-application relationships that relate multiple tables using a single field?

I need help to create the following, using cross-app relationships (which I have not used before, but I read the help guides).

I have a single table full of email addresses (key field) that I want to relate to existing tables (in multiple different apps). I want to be able to pull information from the other tables using the email addresses as the reference. So the email address would have a one-to-many relationship with the other tables.

Is this possible?

No problem. Just make your relationship starting at the child table side of the relationship.

I tried that, but I wasn't able to choose "Email Address" as the reference field. Not all of the fields appear in the drop-down menu.
I suggest checking what the Key feld is in your Parent Table.  if you want to match on email address, then the parent table's Key field will need to be the email address.

I have parent table "Main Contacts" with Key field set as Email Address. But when I set up the relationship with child table Customers, which has a field named Email Address, it does not appear in the Reference Field drop-down menu. Any idea why that may be? (Thanks again for your help!)
What field type(s) are each of those two email fields. Maybe one is a text field type, despite its name.

That's right -- it is a text field! Thanks for the help!
When you change the field type it should retain the data. But you may want to Copy that text field first just to be sure.
