How can I generate automatic emails to an email address contained in a record field? Allowed recipients I see currently are record owner, last modified, me or user.

Each record in my table has a field called "24/7 email address". I want to be able to generate an automatic email to the 24/7 email address, based on a trigger such as a date entered in the record. Currently the allowed recipients are me, record owner, last modified by, or app users, but no an external email address contained in a field in the application.

You are asking  how to create an email notification to external email address.

Create a new notification where the type is Open. There should be two choices Open and Recipient. Only the Open type allows you to send to external email addresses.

If you do not see that option you will need to contact Quickbase support  have them enable your account to have the ability to send emails externally. Once you create an open notification then will be an additional choices including send to the email address in the field...

Thank you, Mark, for a great and so fast answer, particularly over a weekend. I will try this, and it seems like it will work for me as needed.
