So I have a connected table from my table Companies called Small Imprint.

I want the field called NAME to be able to link back to the table Companies.  How can I do this?

If you have pulled down the [record ID#] of the Company record as part of the Connection fields, and obviously you have the [NAME] you can make your own hyperlink.

var text $URL = "and paste in the path to the other company table such as h t t p s:// mycompany.quickbase.com/db/xxxxxxx?a=dr&rid=" & ToText([record ID# of Company Record]);

var text Words = [NAME];

"<a href=" & $URL & ">" & $Words & "</a>

 and remember to enable the HTML checkbox

So....just so I understand....do I create a new field using the above?  And what type...I tried creating a new URL formula but I got an error...here is what I had

var text $URL = "https://nns.quickbase.com/db/bkju8r8mz?a=td" & ToText([Record ID#2]);

var text Words = [Company Name];

"<a href=" & $URL & ">" & $Words & "</a>

But I am getting a syntax error...

This would be a formula text field with html checkbox enabled. Did you get this hyperlink to work. You should see Name, but it will be a blue hyperlink

i am still getting an error....

An identifier must follow the type in a variable declaration.

var text   $URL = "https://nns.quickbase.com/db/bkju8r8mz?a=dr&rid="& ToText([Record ID#2]);

var text Words = [Company Name];

"<a href=" & $URL & ">" & $Words & "</a>

sorry change to this

var text URL = "https://nns.quickbase.com/db/bkju8r8mz?a=dr&rid="& ToText([Record ID#2]);

ie, drop the leading $ sign here

More errors

Expected a valid expression after the "&"

var text URL = "https://nns.quickbase.com/db/bkju8r8mz?a=dr&rid="& ToText([Record ID#2]);

var text Words = [Company Name];

"<a href=" & $URL & ">" & $Words &   "</a>

you need to close the very last "  after the "</a>

so it becomes "</a>"

Ok, so now you know how to build those hyperlinks in the future!
