How can I integrate Google Maps into QB to calculate routes for different employees? API? I already got an API key from Google Maps, but I don't know where to start.

Are you looking for route options from just A to B, with multiple options, like google does?  Or are you looking for a bread route function?  i.e. A to B to C, or A to C to B, depending on optimization?

Basically I am looking for a route option A to B. Thank you!

Are you just looking for a button to click to show the route from one address to another?   When you say that you already have an API Key from google maps, what do you mean by that.  Do you mean that you have documentation on the URL format to have Google do Directions?

I just registered and got an API Key.  I have no idea where to start. It would be nice just to type in the address in QB and get the distance of that route.

The syntax at this website gives you the URL format
https://gearside.com/easily-link-to-locations-and-directions-using-the-new-google-maps/

This is an example it gives from an address on West Genesee to 314 Avery.

https://www.google.com/maps/dir/760+West+Genesee+Street+Syracuse+NY+13204/314+Avery+Avenue+Syracuse+NY+13204

This formula seems to work

&
List("/", URLEncode([Address]),URLEncode([Address2]))

Your post with the reference to the Google API got me confused as all you need to do is to build the URL in the correct Syntax.

Thanks, it worked. But it would be nice to integrate google maps into QB and not work in a new tab. Also it would be nice to see the route. I guess that is only working with API.

Are you saying that it does not show the route?

Yes. It does not show the route on QB.
