The user can create a new record and save it. But trying to save a copy of the record gets a "Your role does not allow you to save the record" message. I have gone through the app properties to allow the user in that role to save copies.

Your either looking for multi record options or if you copying the record to another table then you need to make sure they have permission to add records to that table also.

It is not going to another table. They can create a new record and save it. But when they copy the record to make a change and create a new record, they aren't able to save that one.

How are they copying the record? Are you using a url button?

Also check if you have any form rules that may prohibit saving under certain circumstances.

It is via a url button.

Can you please paste the formula of the url field?

Can you also confirm you have not disabled multi record permissions in the role that is having the issue?

Thank you. It was a form rule getting in the way.
