I have two related tables: Materials (each record holds name, description, cost) and Material Assemblies. I want to to create Material Assembly labeled DW Base. I would like to select multiple items from my materials table using the look-up function. How do I do this?

PS: Please note...I understand how to use the look-up function.  I do not know how to add different items to the Assemblies table to create a "group" of items within the assembly. Does this make sense?

This sounds like you need a Many to Many Relationship.

One Material is used in Many Material Assemblies. But 1 Material Assembly has Many Materials.

To do that you need a middle join table called Materual Assembly Components. One Materual has Many Mayerial Assembly Components. One Material Assmbly has many Material assembly components.

You can also search this forum on Many to Many for more examples.
