How do I create a formula that will count the total number of "New Candidate" that applied from the 01/082015 to 31/07/16? I know summary report could be done but I really need it as a field :(

Thanks!

Can you tell us if you have multiple tables and if they are related?  If you do have, for example,  a relationship where 1 Job Posting has many applicants, then you can make a Summary field to Count, and apply two lines of filters to get the Date range.

They are multiple tables and they are related. We managed to get the summary field that way but what we really need is a numeric formula that will calculate how many applied within certain dates :/

Option 1 - Date range in question never changes.

new Formula - Checkbox on new candidate table, "Date Range Check"

If([Application Date]>"low date" AND [Application Date]<"high date", true, false)

Then run a summary field based if that "Date Range Check" being checked (true).

Option 2 - Date Range varies

Create a summary report with a filter for date range that uses the option "Ask the User", then every time you want to see that report you can pick your custom date ranges.
