How to create a summary report for forecast dates and actual completed dates

I created two columns in my summary report the monthly forecast and a calculated column for the monthly completed, my calculated column only show me the completions out of what was forecast, we have completions that complete outside of their forecast date, I need to count the total monthly complete regardless of the monthly forecast
