How to get the next available date from a table of dates and deadlines?

In our project management app, I have a table (Review Meetings) of review meetings ([Meeting Date]) with calculated fields for deadline for submission ([Review Deadline]) for each meeting and a formula checkbox ([Past]) for whether the review deadline has passed.

When a user brings up the project entry form, I want them to see the next available review meeting as a read-only field. So if the next review meeting is 8-15-16 and the review deadline is 8-12-16 and today is 8-12-16, I want it to display the next review meeting on 8-22-16 (with a deadline of 8-19-16). Is there a way to do this?

I think you have some typos on your dates. The input fields appear to have date values of 8-15-16, 8-12-16, and 8-12-16 while your output messages appears to include dates values of 8-22-16  and 8-19-16.

In any event I am confident you can do this natively or with JavaScript.

The dates are correct.

My input field values are 8-15-16 and 8-22-16. There is a calculated field that determines the review deadline for each meeting:

The review deadline for the 8-15-16 meeting is 8-12-16; the review deadline for the 8-22-16 meeting is 8-19-16.

If I am in my projects table, I want QuickBase to look at my meetings table and find the next meeting date whose review deadline hasn't arrived.

Example:

Using the data above, if today is 8-11-16, it would return the 8-15-16 meeting. But if I opened the form on 8-12-16 (the same date as the deadline for the 8-15 meeting), it would return the 8-22-16.

Hi Neal,

Yes - it does. Now I need another table to be able to find the next available date from the table in your image and return that meeting date.

Thank you!
