I'm trying to use the Max() function to evaluate the the largest date between various milestones in a project.

Max([MilestoneDate1],[MilestoneDate2],...[MilestoneDatex])

...but I keep getting a function syntax error.  Is this not possible with Max() function?

Each of the MilestoneDate fields are of type Date as is the field I'm returning this value to (Date - Formula).

Copy and paste the exact formula in the field definition textarea. Certainly your formula does not contain an ellipsis (ie ...)

Max([BCA ECD],[EF ECD])

I plan to create another one that has at least 5 milestones for comparison.   However, even the one above is not working. thx.

Double check that those two fields are in fact date fields. Prove it with a screenshot.

I double checked and identified several that were text fields (somehow - smile) in my list of 10 milestones.   Adjusting each of those resolved the issue.  again thx!!

If QuickBase used Haskell for is formula language we would never have type errors like this.
