I have found that QB may not be so accommodating when it comes to uploading the real data en masse as this effectively sets the date modified to the date and time when records were added. As a result, sometimes when you need to rely on date modified in certain formulae, you can't get the right result. A case in point is the following scenario.
I have a projects table which deals with construction projects. As part of the developments, projects are designed. As there are several versions of design created (as child table), I do need to show the latest version in my project record. This works well if I had a record manually created but for imported records, this does not work. Question, is there a way I could report back the last modified instance of a child record in the projects table without having to rely on the date modified? Or can I amend the date modified using another field.
