How to prevent changes I made from being marked as a change

As an admin,  I occasionally have to fill data where these are gaps.  Is there way to make these changes to a record without my changes being treated as a change or flagged as such.

Can you clarify what you mean by "treated as such"?  As far as I know, you can only prevent record notifications from firing if you have made the change, which you can do by editing the rules of the notification.

(The Notify When option includes when the following fields change, if you scroll to the bottom, it includes AND when the following conditions are true after the change):

Add a rule here so that Last Modified By is not equal to the user (Your Name).


But I have a feeling you mean something else, in which case, I don't think that's possible.

Each time when you change a record, it flags it by 'UPDT' in yellow colour.  If I am updating  records by importing data, all records show this indication.  I wish there was an option in import function to not to mark such records. But the question is whether we could prevent records being shown as updated when the update occurs via import. ,
