For so,e operational reasons, we have had to export a list of projects where we also have all resources identified.  Once exported all user names have some alpha/numeric characters as part of the listing: E.g. Martin Emery <59711232.k98w>

Without having to create formula fields, is there a possibility that I could export the user with just names?

The alternative could be to deal with the removal in Excel, but it would take a formula in excel to remove the trailing characters.

Presumably you are aware that you can have a formula field in QuickBase to convert the User field to a clean name

UserToName([Project Manager])

But you said "without using formuals".

It is also possible that your User fields are actually selected from a table of users and their clean name may be there.  You could choose to export their Name instead of their Userid.

Thanks a lot, as always.
