how to use required fields and roles

I want to require fields to be filled in by a sales agent within a table but the lead agent doesn't have access to that field in the form the lead agent uses. They both work in the same table but different forms and different access to fields as defined in their respective roles. any way to get around this?

You can make a field required in the form, but not at the field level.  That way if the field is not on the form it will not be required.  However, when other users edit that record who do have that field on their form, it will be required.

Basically I'm suggesting to remove the Requiredness at the field level and make it required as a form setting for that field.
