I am preparing to switch over my Realm. 1. What happens if users are logged in and working when I switch over?

Will they be kicked out or will they be able to keep working in the old version until the next time they enter the site?
2. Many users have the "remember me" selected so they aren't used to logging in each time. Will each user be prompted to log in again (id and password) the next time they go to the site or will they just get the new inerface?

Hi Karen,

Good questions.

Since you are in a Realm, it should not log your Users out or anything, but rather just change the view over to the new UI. I believe since the log in info is the same, "remember me" should continue to work, but if it does not, they should just log in with their usual info. We also suggest, if possible, waiting until the end of the day to upgrade if only to avoid any confusion or issues popping up from people working. I hope this answer helps clarify things for you.

Thank you,
Chris

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately people are using some apps 24/7 but I'll shoot for early morning since that is probably the slowest time. As the Realm account admin, it would be nice to be able to see who is currently active (hint, hint for future upgrades).  Thanks again.

Hi Karen,

I am more than happy to help when I can. It is just a precaution. If you are worried about it at all, perhaps just send out an e-mail asking people to pause for a few minutes in their work at the specific time you plan to upgrade. It shouldn't take more than a moment once you hit the button.

Also, thank you for the feedback. We always appreciate our customers ideas. If you go to our feedback site:

you will find that this idea has come up before and so your are not the only user who thinks this would be useful. Feel free to go there and voice your opinion at any time or vote on other ideas as well. We see this feedback and evaluate it to see what we can do to improve our User's experience.

Thank you,
Chris
