I need to create a formula which contains year and PO#. The end results would look like this: 2016-6399 (the 2016 is the year and the 6399 is the PO#).

The year would need to come from our order date field.

Where does the PO# come from?  Is it in another field?

Assuming the PO# comes from a field called PO# then create a Formula-Text field that would look like this:

Year([Order Date])&"-"&[PO#]

I put this in and it didn't work: Year([Date Created])&"-"&[CFS PO #]

The formula goes in a new field that must be a formula-text field.  Why are you using Date Created?  Your question stated you have an Order Date field.

I figured it out - I had it set up as numeric and it needed to be text! I love when I figure this stuff out. Thanks!
