I want Quickbase to execute formula url prior to saving a record (as one of the fields in the record is updated via the url), using the standard save button available when editing a record.

In detail: execute Formula ULR when save button is pressed.  Need to avoid a separate button.  Goal is to  grid edit  a multiple choice text field [Current Status] during a conference call.  When the record/grid is saved, the [Current Status Date], Today(), populates in a corresponding field that represents the date that status was complete.

So if [Current Status]="Open", upon saving, the field [Open Date] takes the value of [Current Status Date].  Then if next week the record's [Current Status] changes to "Validated", [Validated Date] takes the value of [Current Status Date] (and the field [Open Status] does not change).

Selecting the proper ["status" Date] field would be accomplished by using the Case statement to "direct traffic" in the Formula URL Field.

This would best be accomplished by using Webhooks.  It's more complicated than usual as you also want this to work for multi record operations in Grid Edit.  If no one posts a response here, you can contact me off line via the information in my profile and I can probably help you.
