I currently have a "Project Portal" to allow customers to see the status of the jobs we are doing. In this case there is another application for which they can see the data but do not have access to the application. I would like to show them a report from this application in the "Project Portal" without changing their access.

In this case the "General Customer" role has the checkbox checked for "Disable access to app for users with this role".

They can see the data on a per record basis through a report link but they would like to see it for the whole project. To do this I need to show them the data from the report in the app without access. Is there a way to show them the report only without giving them access to the site? I keep getting a permission error.

Interesting question.

imho, if QuickBase is not respecting Permissions in a Report Link, that is a bug.

But, now that I think about it I have seen that behavior. When I saw it on a report link I dealt with it by a form rule showing a different report.

So I can't say if it's a feature or a bug.

But if it's a feature, then a solution is to put a Report Link field on a record for the Customer and have the full report visible on the customer record. So set the Oermissins so the customer can see just their own record in the main app and direct them to that record.

For example if you present their a dashboard to have a list all report, but they are limited to their own customer record only, it will be a 1 record report. Then they open that record and see any report(s) you put there.
