I would like to have a button open a new window to view a related field in another table. Is this possible? How can I accomplish this?

Stores have a text field that tends to be lengthy.  We have a relationship between projects & stores.  We view this lengthy field on the projects form.  I would like to have a button that can be clicked to view the related field in a new window instead of always displaying the field.

Please explain the relationship between the Stores and Projects. Which is the ONE and which is the MANY?  Is this text field on the Store record or the Project record?

Stores have many projects.  Stores have [description of sale] which is what I would like to open with a button on the projects form.

The KISS method is to make a new form with some identification fields at the top for the Project and then that form would basically just have that one verbose field.

The URL formula button would be
urlroot() & "db/" & dbid() &"?a=dr&dfid=XX&rid=" & ToText([Record ID#])

The XX would be replaced by the from ID#. such as 10.

Then you need the user to be able to get back to the main projects form.

That button would just be
urlroot() & "db/" & dbid() &"?a=dr&rid=" & ToText([Record ID#])

ie do not override the form #
