I have created a Numeric Formula Field called [IYR (final)] that I need to look at one field - [IYR], and see if there is a value. If there is a value it needs to return it [IYR]. If there is no value "null", I need it to return the value from another field - [IYR (calculated)].

[IYR] is numeric - user input, [IYR (calculated)] - Numeric Formula field

Here is what I wrote that is not working. It only returns the [IYR] value, nothing when the [IYR] is empty.

If([IYR]=null,([IYR (calculated)]),[IYR])

What am I doing wrong?

The test for Null is: If(IsNull([iYR]),([IYR (calculated)]),[IYR])

I believe you will have better luck with If([iYR]=0,([IYR (calculated)]),[IYR])

For my suggestion, you will want the treat blank as a 0 box checked for [iYR] field properties

Thank YOU!   It worked by changing from null to 0!
