In a form within one table, can I limit the records available in another table by a field in those records?

Say I have a relationship between two tables: 1) Colors and 2) Shirts. One Color to many Shirts. If I want to record a new Shirt, I must select its Color.

Each Color has a status: New, Old, Retired. When I a user records a new Shirt, is it possible to limit the choice of Color to those without the Retired status?

On the drop down field  for related color on the shirts form, the form is probably set to use the standard "Record Picker".

So just make a Report of all Active Colors, and then change the Form properties  for the field Related Color or perhaps Color (if that is set as the reference Proxy field for related color) to use that new report to drive the drop down list instead of the standard Record Picker.

This worked perfectly, thank you! Even worked with my conditional fields.
