Is it possible to add a floor map of your business and use that map to track items?

So are there items that get moved around?  Quick Base does not really do floor maps, but there is a Kanban style report type and if there are not too many areas on the building as choices, you could grab an item on the "Report" and drop it into another column to re-assign that item to a different building area.

Just an idea.

Thanks for the reply! We work in a large building and our products have many storage places throughout. We also have a lot of freelance help and they don't know the layout of the building. This is probably overkill, but it's fun to create on here. I got the idea from being able to use the US map to track customer addresses.

:) I think that you would need quite a high zoom level in maps to get into the nooks and grannies of your building.

I created a scatter map of locations using longitude/latitude as X/Y axis. There was an upper limit of data points. You could do something similar giving grid locations of your shop. But how to overlay on a map? I guess in my mapping situation, I ran into a similar challenge of showing the boundries of states.
Good thinking. So Shirlee's best bet here is to reorganize her building to follow some well-known geography, so for example she can assign lat/long coords to her storage locations and train the freelancers to recognize 'the mailing supply cabinet is in Poughkeepsie, the client files are in Ithaca,' etc.
