Is there a function that I can use that would increment a text field from A to B to C to D, etc?

I have a 'Revisions' field that I need to be able to rev to the next alpha character and I'm trying to avoid having to write an ugly case statement.

I'm specifically not using a numeric field because the value of the Revisions field has to be alpha characters.

A case statement is not ugly, just repetitious. :)

well its going to look something like
[Formula field for Next Revision] with a formula of

Case([Revision],
"A","B",
"B","C",
"C","D",
"D","E",
"E","F",
....

"Y","Z",
"Z","Stop the madness -- too many revisions!")

So its just copy and paste and then some editing.  It only takes about 2 minutes to do.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction . . . and I'm ABSOLUTELY going to borrow the increment for Z!
