Is there a way for quickbase to constantly pull information (import automatically) from a location (local server or online location {e.g. google docs or dropbox} and update the information?

QuickBase recently announced QuickBase Sync which does just that - pull data from other cloud bases systems into QuickBase. http://quickbase.intuit.com/blog/2015/07/15/quickbase-sync-goes-into-general-availability/

My understanding is the next feature they are working on will be to pull in data from a csv file into QuickBase records as they recognize that csv files are the "all purpose" tool for getting data from other systems into QuickBase.  If the csv file is placed in a cloud location which QuickBase can access and not behind a Corporate firewall, then that gets around the messy IT security issues.

There is no timeline for this as QuickBase does not generally announce new products until they announce them.  ie they don't "Pre-Announce".  If I had to guess I would say by the end of the calendar year, but that is just my personal guess trying to read their body language.

What I can say is that for the connections that they do currently support, for the few that I have tried, the setup has been in typical QuickBase style, stupid simple to get working.
