Is there a way to combine the data from 2 fields in 2 different tables to use in one dropdown menu in a 3rd table?

I have 3 tables - proposals, projects, and timesheets. Employees need to fill out their timesheet using either a proposal # or a project #. Is there a way to combine the proposal # field and the project # into one list to use as a dropdown menu on the timesheet?

To expand a little on Mark's answer:

The employee would have to select either from the Proposal dropdown, or the Project dropdown.

However - you can still create a Formula-Text field that displays whichever is picked (Proposal # or Project #), with the other dropdown remaining blank.

The Formula-Text field can be called [Project # / Proposal #], with the formula:

List ("", [Project #], [Proposal #])

Then you can choose to only display this combined [Project # / Proposal #] when you're not in edit mode.

Thank you! It's not perfect, but this will work.

And if there's some way to tell whether they're looking for a Proposal vs. Project - then you can use form rules to only display one dropdown or the other.

But otherwise - yes, will have to display both dropdowns.

Hope this helped!
