Is there a way to have an email notification only sent based on the first day of the month?

Could you create a date formula field that changes to the first day of the month each month on a form and set up your email notification to only go out when that date field changes to the first day of the month? I know you need to have a "trigger" or modification to the record to trigger a notification but I wonder if the changing of that date field would trigger the notification. Or, is there a date formula where you could have the date change every 30 days based on the record's date created that might work? I'd love to use the subscription instead, but the notification will be going to non-users. The goal is to send clients a list of their project information every month. Thanks!

Well, "no".

A Notification will only fire at the split second when the record is edited, not when a formula happens to change its value in the middle of the night through the passage of time.

What i have done for other clients is to have a Report of Notifications to be fired.  It might be received by an internal user on the 1st of each month.  The user would then manually push a button which would trigger the email and refresh the report with that first record not there (as its been emailed).  So the user is able to somewhat mindlessly just click click click until they are all fired off.

Even that clicking could be automated down to 1 click to fire off a script which would walk down that report essentially jiggling each record to fire off the Open Email Notification to the outside non QuickBase recipient.
