Is there a way to make clickable headers to sort records in a child table on a parent form?

I can create a table with clickable headers to sort A-Z and Z-A on a child table, but when I embed that in a parent form, for some reason the column headers are no longer click/sortable. That would be handy for my application. Am I missing something?

Odd. My child tables embedded on a parent record have headers that are clickable to sort.

I'm simultaneously encouraged (that click/sortable is possible) and perplexed (what am I doing wrong?). I'll see if I can add a screen shot.

I think I see the issue. When I created the report, I marked that form element as "editable." When I uncheck that, the click/sortable column headers are back. I think I can see why being able to sort while editing is going on could be problematic, but still, it would be a good feature to have.

Right, reports in grid edit mode are not dynamically sortable
