We have built out a form within QuickBase that has a lot of information and displays reports from a few different tables. This works great for us and users have gotten used to this look.

Is there a way to use the API to export this look of the form, ideally to a PDF or similar document, so that the records can be regularly exported for use outside of QuickBase?

I highly recommend the Add on from Juiced called Exact Forms Plus. http://www.quickbasetools.com/exact-forms-plus The alternative, is to train you users to print to PDF as if it were a printer. There is free software like pdf99 or cutepdf to do this.

Thanks. We can definitely print individual records using the PDF as a printer, but I was looking to complete these tasks with a larger number of records in fairly regular intervals. The volume is the limiting factor here, and printing the records one at a time will be too time consuming.

The juiced product can create a PDF of multiple records all as one large PDF, if that is helpful you you.  I believe their base product is limited to 50 records at a time, and there is an enhanced option which is unlimited.  I had a client who was just over the 50, so I just made a button to print the first half and then the second half so that both halves were under 50 records.

Thank you Mark! So with Exact Forms Plus we allow you to generate up to 50 documents in a single button click as Mark mentioned. If you want to generate more than 50 in a single button click then we have what we call the Exact Forms Plus Batch Processor. We have clients that generate hundreds of pdf files with a single button click!
