Is there a way to use the File Attachment field to only display the file path without actually uploading the file?

Dan Diebolt who haunts this forum regularly did one of his famous image on load techniques for me for a client which allowed them to navigate to a file path and have that stored in the text field but not actually upload the file. That saved the user from having to type in a long ugly file path.

I suggest that you contact Dan. If you can't find his contact information on this forum email me off-line and I will send you his email address

I'm a bit late to this party, by a year it looks like. If you want a link to a document and not upload it to Quick Base as a file attachment, I recommend using a URL field instead.
