The window object has a gReqAppName property that stores this. So all you need is:

var appName = window.gReqAppName;

Here is an idea: Gather up all the data you think should be in an object using the gimmeAllTheDatas() function and pretend this object is the result of an API call. Then lobby QuickBase to provide this API as a supported feature. Since gimmeAllTheDatas() is implemented as a promise you can use it seamlessly with you JavaScript code while waiting for QuickBase to implement a new API method. Any scrap of data within any QuickBase can be accessed through calls to gimmeAllTheDatas () and you can create you own API methods. For example consider these hypothetical getter API methods:

gimmeAllTheForms ()
gimmeAllThePages ()
gimmeAllTheReports()
...
gimmeAllTheMostRecentlyUsedApps ()

There is no limit to what information your custom API methods can return or what action it can perform.
