Limit data entry as grid edit only

Is there a way to not to let the user to click open a record as a form and edit or add data using grid edit only?

No problem. Just make a dummy form and if you want you can put a text element on it to say please edit your record using grid at it while blah blah.  Have no fields on the form.

 Then once you have more than one form QuickBase needs to know when to use which form. Set your regular user Roles to use the dummy form when adding or editing records. That is set in the form usage section of the forms menu.

Thanks.  And how do you dismiss the form? Is there a button that can close the form?

Well, the firm might be the only QuickBase page open, so you don't want to close the firm, more like navigate somewhere else, like the dashboard, or perhaps to the Parend Record.  So you can make a formula URL field, for example to give a link to the Parent record.
