I have plant table that I am using for a lookup field in another application. My problem is that in the a plant can have an active record and a closed record. The lookup is pulling both plants. How can I only pull the active records. Yes, I have a field called "operative" in the plant table. Thanks for your assistance in advance.

no problem.

The default "report" which gets used on a drop down list is the "Record Picker Report".  Its not really a report, it list a list of all your records using the record picker fields specified in the Advance properties of the table.

So just make a report called "Active Locations for drop down list" with just a column  of the location name.  Set the sort you like and of course filter on just Active.

Edit the FORM properties for that drop down field to use the report called "Active Locations for Drop down list"

To clarify, I create a new report in the 1st application but how do I select a report in the form?  It only gives me text, section headings and fields with the stats at the bottom.
You should be able to set the report to use on the form for that drop down field.  This is done in the application that is using the plants table as a source for its [Related Plant]
