  • 1.  Linking two Quickbase apps

    Hi,

We have two apps currently available where tickets are logged. We want to explore the possibility of linking them.

One is very basic and client-facing, with access to users from only one institution. They log tickets and these tickets then need to be logged by our support staff in another app.

The other app is more in-depth and used internally to log issues across all institutions we serve. What we would like to do is have tickets logged in the initial client-facing app to then automatically be logged in the second app.

Is this possible? Would we need to standardize fields across both apps? When tickets are closed in the main app, are there options of having that automatically circle back to the original app?

Here is a link to a QB page I found while looking into setting this up but I am not sure how feasible it is:

    Thanks,

    Josue

Unfortunately QuickBase doesn't have a way natively to affect data on a different table when a separate record is added/edited. It is a strongly requested feature here however: https://quickbase.uservoice.com/forums/111823-quickbase-product-feedback/suggestions/1904137-quickba.... I recommend adding your vote to this request and hopefully we see this implemented sooner than later. In the mean-time, contacting one of our partners: http://quickbase.intuit.com/partners would allow them to design a custom script for you to keep the two data sources in sync with each other.
