I am not looking for a date/ time field stamp just a time stamp.

So when a field is change to something from a drop down list it will time stamp it.

What I have.. but it changes with the time

If( [Current call status] = "Pending Dispatch from Vendor", ToTimeOfDay(Now())

The are two choices here.

The first is to use a Dynamic Form Rule

When multiple conditions are true [

when all of

When [my time stamp field] is blank

wnen  [Current call status] is equal to Pending Dispatch from Vendor

Change  [my time stamp field] to the current time

You can give that a try first. note that it will not work with Grid Edit, for it to work with Grid Edit you will need to use a different technique.

I tried that and it doesn't give me an option for current time when its just a time field. I don't want the date in there..

Hmmmm, yes, I see that problem now.  Well I guess you could make a timeofday formula field called NOW with a formula of now() and then use that in your form rule.

So basically make another field, and make that a now formula. Then use a dynamic connect to that one?
