I have a calendar of events in one table and a calendar of campaigns in another.  Is there a way to create a calendar that will display events from both tables, without manual updating?

Use script to copy all the relevant records into a third table from which you display the calendar. Never use the third table for data entry. Purge the third table prior when you need to update the records it displays. All of this can be automated with script.

Will this solution be automatically updating after the initial copy? Both of my calendars are updated daily, so I need a dynamic solution.

You can configure a button to do these three tasks on a single button click:

(1) purge the third table of all records
(2) copy all relevant records from the two existing tables to the third table
(3) automatically redirect to a calendar view of the third table

The whole process will simply look to the user as a button and the calendar based on the third table displaying - the first and second steps above will happen in the background and your user will be none the wiser. However, you have to prevent the user from directly interfacing with the third table as it is acting like a temporary scratch pad to base the merged calendar view on.
