Multi-Select Text response options no longer valid

I created a Mu-Select Text field with 10 response options. Some of them appear in red text with a message saying "XX is no longer a valid selection" Why is this happening and how can I remove that message?

This happens if you previously had a dropdown value (e.g. "Value 2"), but then "Value 2" was removed from the list of values in the Multi-Select Text field (through the settings > Multi-select Text field options > Choices).  

However, on that particular record, the removed value was previously selected.  QuickBase will not remove your previously selected value, so it displays the red text and the message to let you know that it's no longer a valid selection for the multi-select dropdown.

To remove the red text, you can either remove the invalid selection (if it truly is invalid), or add that value back to the multi-select dropdown options.

e.g.  If you have 3 selections in your multi-select text field for a particular record:

Value 1

Value 2

Value 3

But in the settings, you subsequently remove "Value 2".  Then when you go back to the record, you'll see "Value 2" highlighted in red, with the message "Value 2 is no longer a valid selection".

This is actually happening each time I create a new multi-select text field. So it's brand new - every option is new. I haven't removed anything.

In a test app, I just created a new multi-select field, added the response options in the settings, saved, then selected from amongst the response options  I didn't see the red text.

So can you explain the steps you're taking - create the multi-select text field, and then..?

I create a new field (Type = Multi-select Text). Then I add my response options and save it. I add the field to my form. When I click the drop down menu, some options show up in red. I just created a test field and it didn't happen. Perhaps it was a fluke?

Hmm - weird.  If it shows up again and is reproducible, then you may want to contact Support to have them look into it.
