Please see attached file. The pop up box generated has always been what I use to make sure i have the correct name (in case a field has an alternate viewing) when creating reports but I have two new users who cannot view this.

I have not tested, but I would assume that only users with higher level Permission to edit field properties would have the ability to see the actual field names by right clicking.  But you would not want to extend that higher level access to normal users for fear they will accidentally break your app.

Just as Mark said.  This setting is controlled by the Role permissions.  With the ability to "edit Field properties" checkbox (see attached).  Your administrator set up these roles, and its usually best if not everybody has access to do this.

It might be worth checking your role permissions to make sure things are under wraps.  I'd also also recommend doing your best to make the actual field name is what can be displayed on the forms.  Otherwise you have to modify the report headers, form alternative titles, and then remember the proper field for doing formula fields.  It gets messy.

Good Luck
