Non-native QuickBase functionality, Undesirable action on click of link embedded in report

I have a link in a report in child table where on click opens the desired report in a new window (YAY!) but unfortunately navigates the original browser window away from the report (BOO!).

I would like the original browser window to stay on the report and NOT open the record that the report link is embedded in.

Any advice?

Set the child table report to not allow to view the record. It's a report configuration option.

If your users do need to view the record, make your own URL button to display the record.

Doh!! So simple it is brilliant!!

TY Mark!
That one bit me several years ago when they changed QuickBase to view a record when you clicked anywhere on the record on a report and not just the eyeball.  That's the issue. It equates clicking an href type link to clicking on the record.
