I have a notification set to run when a checkbox is set to true. Additionally, there is another Formula field that must be populated with the appropriate text for the notification to run. This additional field, called "Formula - change status" can have a number of different texts show based on other conditions. I only want this notification email sent when one of these texts is showing. Unfortunately, this is not currently working. Can a notification be set on a text formula field?

have you tried to change status from "contains" to "is equal to"?  I had a similar problem in the past and that solved it for me.

Actually, it ended up not working. Turns out that since this field is a summary field from another table, the parent table is not being saved, and hence, not triggering the notification to run. I am in the process of creating a script that is triggered when then child record is saved, to trigger an action in the parent record and save.
