ODBC type connection from Quickbase?

Discussing with a colleague on how to get an ODBC-driver-like connection from Quickbase apps to other programs? I am asking for something that updates automatically on a regular basis (real time or almost), not requiring a batch upload and download of files.  We have something like this for Salesforce to Quickbase today, but how about for other programs besides Salesforce?  Is it built into Quickbase or do we need an add-on like QuNect?  Just want to understand our options.

I think that everyone uses QnNect.  There is no native generic Sync to OBCD databases.

Thanks, Mark (I think I remember that you are Mark?)  My colleague has tested with the 30 day trial of QuNect and we may go that route.

Yes, I'm Mark.  I hear that Claude at QuNect gives great support, especially if the person he is communicating with has some technical ability.  Claude was one of the original founders / architects of OneBase which Intuit bought ~1999 and then it became QuickBase.

I use QuNect in excess and love it.  What Mark has heard is correct.  Support, while typically unnecessary, is excellent.  I connect to SQLServer, MSAccess and Alpha5 using ODBC through QuNect.

We've recently built a replacement for QuNect.  We had a client that had QuNect running that took about 2 hours to process (a lot of records).  We have it down to 5 min, and can keep almost live data to their enterprise system.
QuNect is the only ODBC-driver that I know of that is available for QB.  It's a great product, and Claude's support is excellent.  If you are looking to connect multiple ODBC databases it's definitely the way to go. We've used it successfully in several projects.
I can't tell from your question if you want ODBC specifically or just an API that wraps around the current QB API calls.  If you are looking to connect QB with Salesforce we have experience with both platforms, and would be happy to help.

Matthew - please tell more, we are currently looking for an ODBC connector for Quickbase to Sync with an oracle DB.

Ian - Did you have any success here? or Matthew?
