Problem in specifying dynamic API_DoQuery condition

I'm facing a problem with QuickBase DoQuery API for quite a long time. In the custom pages, I'm using API_DoQuery with query condition framed with q={<condtion>} dynamically. Sometimes, I can see the query does not work properly. When I change it to query={<condition>}, it works fine. Again after some days, it stops working and I needed to change it to q={<condition>}.

Please help me in understanding when to use "q" and when to use "query". I couldn't understand how somedays "q" works and somedays "query" works.

The API_DoQuery documentation indicates a query, qid and qname option: http://www.quickbase.com/api-guide/index.html#do_query.html. You could build your report in QuickBase, and use the <qid>n</qid> idea and see if that change sticks.

I've not tried a q parameter when using this call however. If you have to switch back and forth consistently, I recommend entering this as a new case by clicking Help->Manage Support Cases while logged in. A member of our team can help investigate this, and if we can reproduce the same behavior you see, report it to our product development team as a potential bug to correct.
